HISTORY OF IDRISS MOSQUE

Idriss Mosque is a non-profit religious organization established in 1981. Idriss Mosque is the flagship Mosque for Seattle in Washington State. It was the first mosque west of the Mississippi River designed in an Arabesque architecture style. Idriss Mosque is not a membership organization and welcomes thousands of worshipers and visitors every year regardless of creed, ethnicity, race, culture, background, etc.

Daily Programs
• Short Lecture and Q’uran recitation/study after Fajr
• Short Lecture after Dhur and Asr prayers
• Daily Iftar at the Masjid
• Short lecture before Isha Prayer
• Short lecture 5-7 minutes between Taraweeh
   prayers (to allow rest, restroom breaks, etc)
• Lecture plus Q and A sessions after Taraweeh
• I’Tikaf during the last ten (10) days of Ramadan at
   the mosque

Weekend Programs
• Friday Evenings
• After Asr - Special Programs for Women, Men,
   Children
• Saturday and Sunday
• After Asr – Exclusive Lectures for Women


• Respect the Mosque, yourself and others
• All persons must Exit Mosque One Half Hour
   before and after Services for Security
   purposes
• Entry, loitering, remaining in or on premises
   is not  allowed when mosque closed
• Unauthorized public meetings and gatherings
   restricted
• Disrupting activities and disturbing the peace
   restricted
• Physical or verbal abuse restricted
• Inciting riotous behavior restricted
• Criminal acts restricted
• Destruction of Mosque property restricted
• Illegal parking on premises restricted
• On site solicitation of monies for any
   individual, group, organization prohibited
